Copywriting & editing
In my copywriting and editing work, I’m equally invested in telling a deeply researched story that does justice to the subject matter as I am in disentangling phrases, structures, and framings that can obscure and create barriers to accessing the work at hand. Every reader (including me!) is a potential audience member, reader, user, community partner, co-creator; to honor this positionality and possibility, I write copy with a personal pulse that intentionally leaves spaces open to read between and expand beyond the lines — hopefully urging the reader to encounter the artwork, text, product, performance for themself and in community with others.
I strongly believe audience-responsive editorial work that prioritizes transparency and clear, targeted information pathways to be a fundamental piece of community-engaged work, no matter the field.
